508 Accessibility
Section 508 is a part of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 which requires that electronic and information technology developed, procured, maintained, or used by the Federal government be accessible to people with disabilities.
At this time the private sector is not obligated by the Rehabilitation Act to have their sites 508 Compliant. However, government sites are not the only sites that people with disabilities use. Why not take the initiative and make your site as user-friendly as possible to attract more customers.
As a rule, Wallace Creations automatically incorporates some of the 508 standards into our development. We can test your site for compliancy and outline the necessary solutions to bring your site up to standards.
This site is an example of a 508 compliant site. If you put your mouse over any link in the left menu or image, you will see a description. This helps a user to identify the content if the text or image appears unreadable or fuzzy.
